Power BI Courses

We offer introductory courses in Power BI. These courses are designed to introduce the main concepts to get you started on using Power BI for the creation of reports and dashboards. All the examples will be framed in your own context, making them relevant and accessible to attendees.

CREATING REPORTS USING POWER BI DESKTOP (2 Half Days)

Microsoft Power BI has rapidly become the ‘go to’ tool for business intelligence, not least because of its widespread availability within most IT environments. This course will focus on the creation and publishing of reports. We will use real examples (from social housing and other sectors) to show how to present data effectively to all levels of staff. The course material includes an extensive slide pack as well as examples of the types of content that can be produced from a real life set of housing data.

Delivering reports USING POWER BI service (1 Half Day)

I was a bit worried abut how the training on Zoom would be but was very pleased with the
delivery and interactions between participants. It was easier to follow and I particularly liked
the small group work we did, which again worked well over Zoom.

It was so refreshing to attend training sessions that were directed and involved data from the
housing sector - as, in my experience, most training sessions don’t - leaving you struggling on
how you can apply some things to your own data. This made it easier to relate to all aspects of
the data and Power BI.
— Power BI, online, July 2020
The topic itself is exciting to learn, the structure of the training was easy to follow, the facilitator was very good at explaining things.
— Power BI online 2020
I feel like I could create some reports in it now, which is good as I hadn’t seen it before yesterday.
